Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is set to be one of the hottest properties in the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman moved to Germany after a torrid time at Paris Saint-Germain to restart his promising career.

Ekitike’s performances for Die Adler have attracted attention from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

He showed what he can do against English opposition with a terrific performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League tonight.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring against Tottenham in the sixth minute after Frankfurt pinched the ball off James Maddison.

He picked up the ball and jinxed past half-hearted challenges before curling a low effort into the net from outside the box. It was his 20th goal this season.

Ekitike likes to pull wide, forcing defenders into uncomfortable positions when they try to follow him. He can also spin off them if they get too close, making him quite a handful.

He completed all of his dribbles and won five of 12 duels while showing excellent link-up play in London.

“Ekitike is the real deal,” the BBC’s Nizaar Kinsella enthused as he dazzled while leading the line.
