According to a report from Florian Plettenberg, Hugo Ekitiké (23) would be forced to wait for a potential transfer to Liverpool this summer. The former France U21 striker is aware that he will have to remain patient if he wishes to make the switch to the Premier League champions.

Ekitiké is highly regarded by the Merseyside outfit and is one of the names being considered seriously ahead of a potential move to Anfield this summer. However, any move for the Eintracht Frankfurt attacker would have to wait. This is because Liverpool need to sell players before being able to make a move for a potential forward during the summer window.

Other names being considered

Although Liverpool are keen on a move for Ekitiké, he is not the only name being considered by the Reds. Plettenberg understands that the Reds have compiled a three-name list, including the 23-year-old, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
