Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has reportedly turned down offers from two clubs, with Manchester United still lurking for his signature.
United are in the market for a striker but, having missed out on top target Liam Delap and with Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres now close to joining Galatasaray and Arsenal respectively, the Red Devils may be forced to get creative.
At the moment, it appears that United’s primary focus is Kean.
Kean is coming off a superb 2024/25 season with Fiorentina, in which he struck 25 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions.
He finished the campaign as the second-highest goalscorer in Serie A. He previously endured difficult spells in the Premier League with Everton, as well as at Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, but he now appears to have put all that behind him and is back to his sensational best.
The 25-year-old proved to be a problem for defenders in Italy, who he terrorised with his blistering pace, bag of skills and incredible technical ability.
A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United have been making frequent checks on the talisman, who is open to becoming the latest addition to Ruben Amorim’s ranks.
However, United are not the only ones keeping an eye on Kean. He has already received a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah, while Al-Hilal have also been linked with a move for him.
With just a day left before his €52m release clause expires, leaving Fiorentina free to demand whatever sum they want to sanction his sale, a significant update on Kean’s future has been provided.
According to Sky Sports Italy, the United target has rebuffed advances from Saudi duo Al-Qadsiah and Al-Hilal. It’s understood the player wants to remain in Europe and continue playing at the highest level.
Sky Italy state, “Moise Kean has decided to reject offers from Saudi Arabia. The Italian striker hasn’t considered Al Qadsiah or Al Hilal, and now Fiorentina, with just 48 hours left before his release clause expires, is starting work on his contract renewal.”
The Italian striker, along with his agent, Alessandro Lucci, have evaluated the best option for the 2000-born player’s career, ignoring Al Qadsiah and Al Hilal. The player wants to stay in Europe and continue competing at the highest level.”
The report adds that Kean’s situation remains open, and it’s anyone’s guess where he might end up if he does leave Fiorentina this summer.
