The Brazil international is a world class player on his day, but he’s not been at his best recently for Real Madrid, and is no longer as assured of a starting place as he was.

It now seems Rodrygo could be open to exploring a move elsewhere, which will surely have a host of top clubs on alert.

This is according to a report from Marca, who describe this as a delicate moment for Rodrygo at the Bernabeu.

Rodrygo is the kind of talent it would be great to see in the Premier League, so it will be interesting to see if we hear anything more concrete on that soon.

Liverpool were recently linked with the 24-year-old by Todo Fichajes, while there’s also been speculation about Arsenal from Fichajes.

Those two clubs make sense in that they could both be in the market for attacking players this summer, but one imagines it’s too early for any concrete talks to have taken place.

“Underrated” Rodrygo could be an asset for top clubs

Jude Bellingham has previously described Rodrygo as an underrated member of the Real Madrid squad, as quoted by the Athletic, so could this be an exit they live to regret?

Rodrygo could surely be a regular starter up front for Arsenal and perhaps give them that added goal threat that they need.

Liverpool, meanwhile, would surely also be pretty happy with him as an upgrade on the likes of Darwin Nunez and the injury-prone Diogo Jota.

Real might do well to find more space for him in the weeks ahead if they want to convince him to stay, or they surely risk strengthening major European rivals.
