Palmeiras head coach Abel Ferreira says his side suffered in the Round of 16 against Botafogo, but they deserved to progress:
“Never give up, never give in. All the time, we work for this. I would like to say thank you to my players for all their efforts. We had an amazing game against Botafogo. When we needed to suffer, we suffered together with one player less. We deserved it because we work a lot.”
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca spoke on the possibility of new signing Joao Pedro being involved:
“Joao Pedro’s situation is a bit different. He was on holiday and even if he was working, it’s not the same working by yourself compared to working with the team. We are very happy with Joao in the last two days he has worked with us. We will see if we need him tomorrow and if we have the chance to give him some minutes, we will give him some minutes.”
