Arsenal face a difficult start to their bid to reach the Women’s Champions League knockout stages as they travel to face Bayern Munich this evening.

The Gunners are back in the group-stage of the competition this season, having eased past Hacken in qualifying, and now the focus swiftly turns to the serious business.

Drawn in Group C alongside Bayern, Juventus and Valerenga, Jonas Eidevall’s side have their work cut out to finish in the top two and make it out of the group.

It has been a stumbling start to the Women’s Super League season for Arsenal, who have drawn to Manchester City and Everton, and edged past Leicester 1-0 for their only win of the campaign so far.
