More details are emerging on the deal Napoli will strike with Udinese for Lorenzo Lucca, suggesting they will spread a €35m fee over a loan with obligation to buy.

It has already been confirmed by Football Italia’s own Alfredo Pedullà that the Partenopei have decided to commit to Lucca after realising first choice Darwin Nunez was out of reach due to Liverpool’s asking price of well over €50m.

Now they must complete the agreement with Udinese and there are some interesting suggestions in the Italian media, including Matteo Moretto and Sky Sport Italia.

These all claim it will be a paid loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season, effectively allowing Napoli to spread out the payment over two years.

According to Sport Mediaset and Calciomercato.it, the precise figures are €9m for the loan and €26m for the obligation to buy in June 2026.

This would take the total fee to €35m, although there may well be some add-ons involved to bump the price up, but still remaining under €40m.

Football Italia can confirm another meeting is planned for this evening in which the details will be whittled down and after that we should know more precise figures.
