Bellingham has reached superstar status within five years of leaving St Andrew's
Jude Bellingham is currently one of football's global superstars, currently excelling for Real Madrid and England at just 21 years of age.
Throughout his career, the playmaker has shown a maturity beyond his years that saw him progress through the ranks at Birmingham City, becoming Blues' youngest-ever player at just 16 years, one month and eight days when thrust into the starting lineup for an EFL Cup defeat at Portsmouth under the management of Pep Clotet.
The Stourbridge-born man was immediately tipped to have a bright future in the game after a stunning season of personal growth at St Andrew's, despite it coming in the midst of an uncertain time for Birmingham under the ownership of BSHL, as the club finished 20th at the end of the 2019/20 campaign, just two points above the Championship relegation zone.
Of course, the overall outlook in B9 couldn't be more contrasting this season as the club prepares for life back in the second tier, whilst Bellingham looks to end yet another remarkable season with at least two counts of silverware at the Bernabeu.
It's no surprise, given their stature in the game, that the former Borussia Dortmund man is now featuring for the richest club in the world, with Los Blancos estimated to be worth €1,045.5m.
With that being said, FLW looks at how much the midfielder has earned since leaving the West Midlands.
According to Capology - a site which ESTIMATES the weekly and annual wages within players' contracts - Bellingham was only earning £2,000 per week, having not signed a professional contract with the club during his breakthrough season as a result of age-related association rules, with the aforementioned sum working out at £104,000 across the 46-game season.
The site estimates that seven players were still earning less than the homegrown talent in the form of Connall Trueman, Odin Bailey, Steve Seddon, Moha Ramos, Geraldo Bajrami and Jake Weaver.
Bellingham still remains the club's youngest-ever scorer, netting the first of four goals for the club on his home debut with a deflected effort against Stoke City in front of the Tilton at just 16 years, two months and two days.
His first goal on the road would come in the club's next encounter with the winner against Charlton Athletic at the Valley, before also scoring in a remarkable 5-4 defeat to eventual champions, Leeds United.
Bellingham's final goal in award-winning campaign would come after four minutes against Cardiff City in January 2020 in a 1-1 draw, with it being announced on July 20th that Dortmund would swoop to sign the Wast Hills graduate for a fee in excess of £30m, beating Manchester United to his signature ahead of the last of his 44 appearances in royal blue, which came against Derby County just two days later.
It was reported that the then-17-year-old agreed a deal at Signal Iduna Park until the end of 2024/25, with Capology estimating that Bellingham was earning a weekly salary of €62,308 per week and €3,204,000 across each campaign for the Bundesliga outfit, with those figures falling just below the average across the overall BVB payroll.
This meant that across his three seasons in Germany, in which he accumulated 24 goals and 25 assists in 132 appearances, Bellingham earned a total of €9,612,000 (£8,280,978).
In the summer of 2023, the self-confessed Bluenose became Real's second-most expensive arrival behind former Chelsea winger, Eden Hazard for a reported fee of €103m, which could rise as high as €114m if all performance-related add-ons are to be met.
This netted Blues a reported sum in excess of £10m just a month before the current ownership group, Knighthead Capital Management, completed their well-documented takeover of the club.
Capology estimates that the man who marked his first season in the Spanish capital with a La Liga and UEFA Champions League triumph is earning a weekly sum of €400,577 at the Bernabeu, which adds up to €20,830,000 across the campaign.
By the end of this season, Bellingham's earnings for the most-decorated club in the world will have equated to £35,901,754, taking his overall total to approximately £44,182,732.
The man who has also lit up the international stage for England several times, including a memorable last-gasp overhead kick against Slovakia in last year's UEFA European Championships will no doubt bank plenty more in the years to come, and Blues fans will hope the club's own lofty ambitions mean they will be watching players of a similar calibre on a regular basis in the not-too-distant future.
