Serie A side Como are working with Real Madrid to remove the clauses in his permanent deal.

According to a report by Giulio Saetta of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Como CEO Carlalberto Ludi is negotiating with Real Madrid to nullify the clauses inserted by the latter when they sold Nico Paz to the Italian side. Los Blancos wanted to keep a definite hold over the future of the 20-year-old as they set a right of 50% resale value and a buyback clause at €9 million at the end of June 2025 with subsequent increases in the following years.

Como manager Cesc Fabregas has found a gem in the Argentine youngster as his performances have grown tenfold since arriving from the Spanish capital in the summer. Paz has netted five times and registered three assists in the Serie A this campaign while acting as an integral part of the newly promoted club’s midfield.

Como are ready to pay around €15-20 million to Real this winter in exchange for keeping the player without any clauses to adhere to. If the negotiations go through, Paz will be provided with a new contract and a salary to be commensurate with the tenure of the extension.

Inter remain firmly interested in Paz and Fabregas wants to make him a Serie A superstar with strong foundations in the league.
