Houston Dynamo capture signing of experienced MLS midfielder | OneFootball

Houston Dynamo have announced the signing of free agent Nicolás “Nico” Lodeiro on a one-year deal, with an option to extend for a further 12 months.

The midfielder – who has made 60 appearances for Uruguay at international level – spent last season at Orlando City.

“Nico is one of the great competitors in the history of MLS, who inspires others with his relentless work ethic, dedication to his teammates and will to win,” said Houston President of Soccer Pat Onstad. “We are proud that he wants to be part of our project in Houston and look forward to his contributions on and off the field in our 20th MLS season.”

Lodeiro boasts excellent numbers in assists, having reached double digits in all but two of his nine MLS campaigns. The midfielder is also Seattle Sounders’ all-time top assist maker in all competitions.
