Hibernian stung Rangers 3-0 away in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League, also gaining ground on third-placed Hearts who were held at Motherwell.

Hibs were ahead after only seven minutes in, Kathy McGovern with a close-range shot over the keeper from a dangerous ball in behind by Stacey Papadopoulos.
Rangers’ Victoria Esson pushed a Kirsten Reilly free kick round the post and Papadopoulos hit the upright, while Eric Clachers turned away a Kirsty Howat strike to keep Hibs in the lead at half-time.
McGovern found the far corner of the net with a shot on the turn from outside the box, Rosie Livingstone came off the bench and in no time had fired Hibernian 3-0 up, as they moved with three points of second-placed Rangers.
Glasgow City stay top for the festive break after sending bottom side Dundee United to a 7-0 defeat. They made a 20th-minute breakthrough from Amy Muir and scored four more times by the break.
Lisa Forrest, Samantha van Diemen, Brenna Lovera and Katie Lockwood were on target, with a second each for Forrest and Lockwood before the hour mark.
Celtic ran out 5-0 winners at Spartans, Emma Lawton, Saoirse Noonan and Kelly Clark sending them in three up at the interval.
Lawton doubled her tally late on and with a couple of minutes to go, Noonan did likewise from the penalty spot.
Sixth-placed Motherwell held third-in-the-table Hearts to a goalless draw.
Montrose edged Queen’s Park with the only goal after 70 minutes, moving four points ahead of the Spiders in the battle to stay up and level with Aberdeen.
Louise Brown netted after a collision with goalkeeper Lauren McGregor, who was unable to continue afterwards.
