Hibernian and Rangers Women through to Sky Sports Cup final

The Sky Sports Cup final on Saturday 22 March will be between Hibernian and Rangers, who beat Aberdeen and Celtic respectively in the last four.

Sky Sports Cup Semi-Finals

Hibernian 3-0 Aberdeen Celtic 1-2 Rangers

Rio Hardy broke the deadlock for Rangers against Celtic after a corner early in the second half. It was soon 2-0 as Katie Wilkinson struck home a free-kick, Emma Lawton’s reply not coming until added time.

Ciara Grant fired Hibs ahead against Aberdeen but it was not until the last 15 minutes that their place in the final was ensured. Eilidh Adams doubled the lead, before Grant got her second.

SWPL 1

Hearts 6-0 Montrose

Six-goal Hearts went above Celtic on goal-difference into fourth place and just a point behind both Rangers and Hibs. Bayley Hutchison hit a hat-trick, after a Lauren Wade brace and Jess Husband opener.

SWPL 2

Hamilton Academical 5-1 Livingston Boroughmuir Thistle 6-0 Ayr United St Johnstone 3-2 Rossvale Kilmarnock 2-1 Gartcairn

Hamilton Academical remained top by five points with a 5-1 victory over Livingston, in which Josephine Giard and Chloe Muir each bagged  a brace.

Second-placed Kilmarnock edged Gartcairn 2-1 after Lucie Burns’ first-half double, Boroughmuir Thistle hit Ayr United to climb above Killie’s visitors into third.

St Johnstone pulled level on points with Rossvale when defeating them 3-2 with Niamh Irvine’s late winner, to step four points clear of bottom team Ayr United.
