‘He’s not an easy man’… Polish journalist reveals what Wojciech Szczesny was told about a certain Barcelona captain | OneFootball

The recent issues between Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Barcelona have been quite problematic. However, reports of the German goalkeeper’s odd behaviour and personality are not new. In fact, even another goalkeeper at Barça was warned about him.

Polish shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny joined the Catalan club last season, but even before he arrived, he was reportedly given a warning of sorts when it came to dealing with club captain Ter Stegen. Recently, a Polish journalist has even shared what this warning was.

As quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Polish journalist Mateusz Swiecicki revealed what that warning was:

“When Szczesny arrived in Barcelona, he was told that when Marc returned, he should be understanding towards him because he’s not an easy man.”

His own opinion of the Barça veteran, however, does not seem to be all that positive either:

“Ter Stegen is a unique personality. I believe he’s someone who doesn’t want to leave Barcelona under any circumstances because he’s convinced he’ll be the number one goalkeeper, even if they’ve told him he’s currently third in the pecking order.”

Fortunately, it would appear that the player and the club have sorted out the medical report issue. Moreover, the German goalkeeper even addressed the fans ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy game, suggesting that things are possibly in a relatively better state right now.
