Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller has today turned heads across the continent.

As much comes after the German pointed towards a running theme of Real Madrid being favoured by referees on the continent.

Bayern of course locked horns with La Liga champions Real on Wednesday night, in the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final tie between the clubs.

When all was said and done, it was the latter who booked their spot in the competition’s finale, owing to a 2-1 victory.

Los Blancos’ triumph, however, was shrouded in controversy.

This comes after a late offside call saw Bayern denied the chance to net what they evidently felt would have been a perfectly legitimate equaliser.

Speaking to the media on the back of proceedings coming to a close at the Santiago Bernabéu, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the late drama on the pitch was put to the aforementioned Thomas Müller.

And the veteran frontman made use of the opportunity to make crystal clear his feelings that Real Madrid have time and time again been the beneficiaries of dodgy decisions in the Champions League:

“The referee’s decision was strange. This happens often in Madrid, and it happened to me before with 2 Ronaldo offside goals. No one can explain this.”
