Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, whom last played on the 23rd November - though is reported to be very close to a comeback - has revealed the one game he dreams of playing with Spurs.

In a recent interview, the 28-year old said that he dreams of playing in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup (played between the Champions League and Europa League winners), as it will be played in his hometown of Udine:

The Italian goalkeeper said: "There’s no point in denying it: I dream of playing that match. It would mean that Tottenham have won the Europa League, our big but very tough goal of the season for which there are still seven games to go.

On May 21st we want to go and play the Europa League final in Bilbao and win it, then being in Udine on August 13th would be the best. In the fall I made my debut for the national team against Israel at Friuli, playing in a European final there would be the crowning of a dream.”

Furthermore, Vicario said "I’m getting better and better and I want to be ready for the decisive phase of the season." This marries up with the claims that he will be back soon, which is encouraging news for everyone.

This is not to pile on Antonin Kinsky. He is 21-years old. That is young for an outfielder, never mind a goalkeeper. One playing in a new country, in a new team, with completely different tactics. He is going to make mistakes, particularly in games where Spurs are so under the cosh consistently like against Liverpool.

He will be fine. That is not a long term issue. However, for now, Vicario is an objectively better goalkeeper - and that is fine. He would be. He is seven years older, with a lot more experience. Spurs need him back, particularly in the Europa League. They could also need him in the FA Cup, but unfortunately, they may be out by the time he is back.

Nevertheless, the anticipated return of Spurs' number one has left plenty of people very excited. With a weeks break after the Aston Villa FA Cup tie, it would be great to have him back for the visit of Manchester United in the Premier League on the 16th of February. Let's wait and see, fingers crossed on that one.
