MIAMI — The opening match of the 2025 Gold Cup highlights This Week in Concacaf.

This week will also feature men’s World Cup Qualifying matches and the start of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, in which five Concacaf clubs will compete.

Here’s what is on tap for the coming week:

Concacaf Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026

The Road to 2026 continues with the Second Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Twelve encounters will take place to conclude the Second Round on Tuesday. The group winners and runners-up from the Second Round will progress to the Third and Final Round.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 kicks off in the United States on Saturday. Five Concacaf clubs will participate as part of the expanded 32-team edition.

Hosts Inter Miami CF will open the tournament against Al Ahly in Miami. Concacaf Champions Cup winners CF Monterrey (2021), Seattle Sounders FC (2022), CF Pachuca (2024), and Play-In winners Los Angeles FC will also represent the region in hopes of reaching the July 13 Final.

2025 Concacaf Gold Cup

The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, the 18th edition of the Confederation’s flagship men’s national team tournament, kicks off in the United States and Canada on Saturday.

Defending champions Mexico and debutants the Dominican Republic will open the 2025 edition in Los Angeles, California. Sixteen nations will vie for the trophy in hopes of reaching the July 6 Final in Houston, Texas.

One year out from the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Gold Cup will provide a highly competitive tournament for the region’s best teams and an opportunity for even more fans to engage with the sport at a pivotal time for its growth in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
