Yann Bisseck impressed in yesterday’s Serie A draw between Inter Milan and Lazio, right up until all was undone by a costly handball.
This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Yann Bisseck started for Inter Milan against Lazio yesterday.
With Benjamin Pavard still recovering from an ankle injury, the German played on the right of Inter’s back three.
And throughout the first half, Bisseck showed why he fits so well in his role in Inter’s back three.
The 24-year-old looked solid protecting his flank when Denzel Dumfries roamed forward. He didn’t lose any major duels.
Meanwhile, Bisseck was very proactive in pushing up the pitch.
The German did all he could to win the ball in dangerous areas, and was a factor when Inter had possession.

Bisseck capped off his first half display by scoring Inter’s opening goal in stoppage time of the first half.
The German latched onto the ball after a corner routine. And it was a fine finish to blast the ball past Lazio keeper Christos Mandas.
Everything seemed to be going well right up until the closing stages.
However, Yann Bisseck then had a major switch-off to clumsily handle the ball inside the penalty area.
It was an entirely needless way to give Lazio the opportunity to equalize from the penalty spot. And it undid so much good work from the German international.
