With the international break now underway, many Barcelona players get the chance to represent their country. Most first team players have made their way to the senior teams, and rightfully so. The goal of these specific Barcelona players remains to win the highest honors for their respective nations.

However, not every player gets the privilege of representing their nation’s senior team right from the start. Some players, especially youngsters, begin their journey from the youth levels of international football as they gradually begin to make a name for themselves.

Even for the talents that hail from Barcelona, apart from anomalies like Lamine Yamal, most of their initial years with their National teams begin with sides like the Under-19 teams. However, impressing for these teams is no ordinary feat either, and a certain Barcelona talent managed to do exactly that against a fellow teammate from his own club.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Hector Fort and the rest of the Under-19 Spain team recently succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the Germany team from the same category, and it was a game which included an impressive performance from Noah Darvich, Barça’s very own German talent in the subsidiary.

Darvich, now aged 18, is a former winner of the Under-17 FIFA World Cup as captain of the German team that triumphed in that tournament. Now, however, he plays for the Under-19 team and was a key player for the side that just beat his fellow Barcelona teammate and the rest of the Spanish squad.

Providing the assist that led to Germany’s first goal to level things up with Spain, his overall performance was commendable. Notably, the first goal for Spain also came through Marc Guiu, another Barcelona talent. In his case, however, he no longer represents the Catalan club.

While it may be a difficult defeat for Fort and the rest of his teammates, it is still just a friendly encounter. On the other hand, it should be a great confidence booster for Darvich and his German teammates, especially as they will be looking to continue improving and this win could provide some much-needed confidence as well.
