Barcelona wrapped up their pre-season tour of Asia in style with a dominant 5-0 victory over South Korean side Daegu FC.
The result capped off a productive run of friendly matches and gave fans a glimpse of the team’s growing rhythm and chemistry ahead of the new season.
One of the standout performers of the tour has been midfielder Gavi, who continued his excellent form by scoring twice against Daegu. With three goals in total during the tour, he finishes as Barça’s top scorer from the pre-season trip.
After the match, Gavi shared his thoughts on how the team performed and how he’s feeling going into the season. “We’re leaving with a very good feeling from this preseason here; it’s been good for us this season, and we hope to continue at this pace.
“I’m feeling very good this preseason; I hope to continue like this and help the team as much as possible,” he told the club’s official media.
Another positive from the tour was the performance of young defender Gerard Martin. He was given the opportunity to start in central defence alongside Ronald Araujo in the final match.

It marked an important moment for the 23-year-old defender, who is pushing for a bigger role in the squad in the 2025/26 season.
“We’re leaving feeling good. They’ve helped us gain rhythm, playing time, and a bit of experience, and we’re very happy with the three matches,” said Martín when asked about the overall tour experience.
On his role in the backline, he added, “I’d played with three centre backs instead of two, a bit different, but I adapt quickly to whatever is needed.”
As the team returns to Spain, the positive signs from this pre-season will give manager Hansi Flick and the coaching staff reasons to be optimistic.
Both established stars and younger players have shown they are ready to step up and contribute in the upcoming campaign.
