Milan’s first day of pre-season is scheduled for Monday next week and today, Paulo Fonseca will land in the city. As such, along with last night’s Euros action, this was the main focus of the Italian newspapers this morning.

The Portuguese manager will set foot on Italian soil for the first time since joining the club, having been announced a few weeks back. As confirmed by the club, he will speak to the media on Monday morning and there will then be a training session in the afternoon.

Today’s newspapers focused on Fonseca’s arrival but also the fantastic penalty of Theo Hernandez last night. He only needed to find the back of the net to win, but he surprised everyone with an ice-cold penalty into the top left corner.

In addition to this, the newspapers also picked up on the Alvaro Morata links which certainly have heated up.
