With the FIFA Club World Cup now in the rearview, PSG have a big decision to make: whether to meet Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract demands. If they decide the price is too steep, the club could look to sell the goalkeeper this summer rather than risk losing him for free in 2026.

Donnarumma is still under contract for another year, but his long-term future remains unclear due to previous concerns. That said, he delivered strong performances last season—particularly in Champions League clashes against Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal—as PSG finally secured the European title.

Despite the uncertainty, ESPN FC reported that Donnarumma is keen to stay in Paris, even with Manchester United and Inter Milan keeping a close eye on his situation.

Tuttomercatweb’s Marco Conterio reported on Monday that Galatasaray are reportedly dreaming big. With the Victor Osimhen deal said to be finalized, the club now wants a world-class goalkeeper and is targeting Donnarumma.

The club has reportedly made contact for Donnarumma and hopes to tempt him with a massive Osimhen-style salary, taking advantage of his 2026 contract expiration with PSG. It’s a difficult, complicated move—but Galatasaray appear determined to think big.

Recently, FC Inter News reported that Donnarumma’s salary demands are the main obstacle to a potential return to Serie A. The PSG goalkeeper is reportedly seeking a four- or five-year deal worth €13 million net per season—well beyond what most Italian clubs, including Inter Milan, can afford.

Even if PSG were to let him leave on a free transfer next summer, his reported wages would still likely be too high for a move back to Italy. It will be interesting to see if the Parisians hold onto the player past his contract or decide to sell this summer.
