Galatasaray spending spree not over yet: Ajax defender remains on Turkish giant’s wish list | OneFootball

Galatasaray want to sign a central defender after the arrival of striker Leroy Sané, and Ajax player Josip Sutalo is at the top of the list of potential reinforcements, according to Turkish media. Ajax are said to want around 20 million euros for the Croatian.

“Galatasaray’s latest target is Sutalo!”, Haber reads. “The transfer troubles continue at Galatasaray. The Turkish club has signed Sané, but now wants to bring in a central defender. The club’s management has now set its sights on Ajax defender Sutalo.”

The Turkish side will reportedly face competition from Italy and England. “Galatasaray will compete against Juventus and clubs from the Premier League. Ajax would like to sell Sutalo and are aiming for a transfer fee of more than 20 million euros for the 25-year-old defender.” Incidentally, there is no official bid from Galatasaray yet, the medium emphasise.

Following his 20 million euro move from Dinamo Zagreb, Sutalo has been playing for Ajax since the summer of 2023. Sutalo is also a full international for Croatia, turning out 26 times for the national team so far.
