Galatasaray Cool Interest In Inter Milan Goalkeeper As Negotiations Begin For Manchester City Star Ederson | OneFootball

Galatasaray have opened negotiations with Manchester City to sign goalkeeper Ederson, as they cool their interest in Inter Milan’s Yann Sommer.

As reported by Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, and via FCInterNews.it, the Istanbul club are pushing ahead with a move for Ederson and hope to finalise a deal for the Brazil international shortly.

This development has seen them put talks for Sommer on the backburner and interest in him is expected to end once an agreement has been reached with Manchester City.

Personal terms have already been finalised with Ederson and the transfer is not expected to see any major difficulties arise, so Galatasaray will not pursue any other goalkeepers.

Switzerland international Sommer had been linked with a move away but could yet remain at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this season.

The veteran shotstopper, who will turn 37 in December, joined Inter from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2023 and has made 96 appearances in all competitions for the club.
