The match, which kicks-off at 12:30pm BST, will be shown live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

City marching towards historic title

The main storyline surrounding this match is undoubtedly Manchester City’s continued surge towards a historic fourth consecutive Premier League title.

The champions are one point behind current leaders Arsenal but they hold all the aces as they have a game in hand, meaning three wins will see them land a fourth Premier League in a row.

Pep Guardiola’s juggernauts swept aside Wolves last weekend, thrashing Gary O’Neil’s men 5-1 at the Etihad and the Spaniard will be keen to see his side land a convincing victory over another side in mid-table purgatory, with Fulham 13th and holding little chance of making the top 10.

A win for the Citizens would see them leapfrog Arsenal into first place and it could prove pivotal as the Gunners are not in action until Sunday afternoon, meaning they will have to deal with over 24 hours of pressure ahead of their clash with Manchester United.

Arsenal fans were mortified to see a video circulating of Fulham’s players flying a kite in training ahead of this match – indicating just how ‘on the beach’ the Cottagers potentially are – and with the Citizens playing for a lot more than their hosts and having won the last 15 meetings between the pair, it seems unlikely the points will be staying in the capital on Saturday.

Fulham vs Man City Team News

Harrison Reed missed Fulham’s draw with west London rivals Brentford last Saturday but he is expected to be fit for this clash, meaning Marco Silva has a full squad to pick from.

Reed will be pushing for a start alongside Joao Palhinha in the Cottagers’ engine room, with Tom Cairney and Sasa Lukic the other options in that role.

Like his rival in the opposite dugout, Guardiola also has a full selection of players to pick from, with the champions coming through their 5-1 drubbing of Wolves unscathed.

Erling Haaland is back and firing, netting four of their five goals against Wolves, and he is sure to lead the line against Fulham, who has scored five against in just three appearances.

There may be more rotation behind the Norwegian with a crucial midweek trip to Tottenham coming up on Tuesday, with Jack Grealish, Jeremy Doku and John Stones potentially coming back into the fold at Craven Cottage.
