Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to Craven Cottage, aiming to keep their title push firmly on track. With momentum regained following a difficult March, Arne Slot’s side head into the clash against Fulham with growing belief and a commanding position at the top of the table.
March was unkind to Liverpool. Their European hopes were dashed by PSG and domestic silverware slipped away in the League Cup final against Newcastle. Yet the response since the international break has been professional and composed. A hard-fought derby win over Everton in midweek offered a timely reminder of Liverpool’s resilience and discipline.

Now, with Arsenal trailing and only a handful of fixtures remaining, the Merseyside club has a clear pathway to a landmark 20th top-flight title. The approach may not always be glamorous, but Slot has brought structure, consistency, and control to a squad once defined by chaos in transition.
For Fulham, this fixture is an opportunity to prove their progress under Marco Silva. Despite recent defeats in both league and cup, they remain within touching distance of a European qualification spot — a testament to their overall performance across the season. Sitting in the top half of the table and just a few points off fifth place, Fulham are far from out of the continental conversation.
However, recent form has been patchy. Losses to Brighton and Arsenal, as well as an FA Cup exit to Crystal Palace, have slowed their momentum. With matches against Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Manchester City still to come, this meeting with Liverpool represents both a challenge and a chance to make a statement.

Injuries will influence both managers’ choices. Liverpool’s defensive line remains stretched, with key figures ruled out and others being assessed for match fitness. Young full-backs may be called upon again, while Curtis Jones could retain a makeshift role in defence.
Alisson’s potential return in goal would provide a boost, though Slot must decide how to balance caution with the need for rhythm. Further forward, Liverpool have options aplenty, with attacking rotation a likely feature to manage workloads during the run-in.
Fulham, too, are without several key players through long-term injuries. While one or two may be nearing a return to full training, they’re unlikely to feature this weekend. Silva will need his side to rediscover some of the balance and intensity that marked their better performances earlier in the campaign.

Liverpool arrive in west London in control of their title destiny and with a renewed sense of composure. While Fulham will look to frustrate and strike on the break, history and form lean heavily in the visitors’ favour. Liverpool’s forward line should prove too much over 90 minutes, even if Fulham make them work for it.
This could be another gritty performance rather than a glamorous one, but at this stage of the season, points matter more than style.
Prediction: Fulham 1-3 Liverpool
