SC Heerenveen have announced the signing of winger Danilo Al-Saed. The player joins from Norwegian side Sanefjord and signs a contract until 2028 with the Eredivisie side. The club have assigned the winger the number 24 shirt. Heerenveen’s Sporting Director Ferry de Haan was clearly happy with the new signing. Through the announcement on the club’s website, de Haan said ‘We have often said that SC Heerenveen should have artists on the wings. We think that Danilo, who can play on both flanks, fits this profile well’.

Al-Saed is a dual national of both Sweden and Iraq, and it is for the latter that he has made his international debut. The 25-year-old has made a handful of appearances for the Iraqi national side so far. Al-Saed has played seven times in the Eliteserien so far this season, scoring once and grabbing two assists. He joined the side last winter from Swedish side Sandvikens IF, having previously played for Enköpings SK.
