Four Manchester City stars named in the PFA Team of the Year | OneFootball

Manchester City last had four players named in the PFA Team of the Year which is a fine reward for their fine 23/24 seasons. Phil Foden, Kyle Walker, Rodri and Erling Haaland were all named in the team at the PFA Awards overnight. The full team can be seen below.

To have four players named in the PFA  Team of the Year speaks volumes about Manchester City’s 23/24 season. Pep Guardiola’s side claimed their fourth consecutive Premier League title as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup last season. It was another successful campaign for the world champions as they created even more history last season. All four of the players named in the team made sizable contributions to City’s success.

Erling Haaland and Rodri were named in the team for the second successive season. The pair made vital contributions to Manchester City’s success last season. Erling Haaland scored 38 goals in 45 games last season. He also picked up the Premier League’s Golden Boot after scoring 27 goals in the Premier League last season. For Rodri, there is an argument to be made that City’s dominance and success aren’t possible without his contribution. He is by far and away City’s most important player, and that was shown throughout the 23/24 season.

Kyle Walker captained Manchester City to glory last season. He was arguably the best right-back in the Premier League season. Being named in the PFA Team of the Year further cements his standing in the game.

Phil Foden’s inclusion in the team was a no brainer. He claimed the PFA Men’s Player of the Year award last night which cemented his standing in the game. To be named in the PFA Men’s Team of the Year just further cements Foden’s status as one of the best players in the Premier League and world football.

Manchester City saw their fine 23/24 season rewarded last night. They will now be determined to make the 24/25 season just as successful following their 2-nil win over Chelsea last Sunday.
