Kasper Dolberg has certainly been enjoying himself in recent weeks. The former Ajax and Nice striker has struggled in recent years since leaving Amsterdam but appears to be finding himself a home in Brussels. Dolberg has grabbed himself five goals in just four days after a tumultuous time at the club. In an interview after the match, and as reported by HLN, the striker seemed happy, saying ‘Fortunately, I haven’t lost my nose for goals yet’.
Since moving to Brussels to join Anderlecht last summer, Dolberg has scored 23 goals in 60 games, with 15 of those coming in 42 games last season. This was the first time that Dolberg had hit double figures since the 2019/2020 season, his first one in France with Nice. Back then, the striker had scored 11 goals in 26 games. This was also his second best scoring season of his career, with the best being in 2016/2017 when he scored 23 goals for Ajax.
After a few seasons of struggling in France with Nice, Dolberg had a few unsuccessful spells with Hoffenheim and Sevilla.
The 27-year-old Danish striker is currently under contract with the Mauves until 2027.
