In just five games under Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid have looked more comfortable than they did under Carlo Ancelotti throughout last season and there has been tangible improvement in their buildup and defensive issues.
A new midfielder – which was the priority a few weeks back, is thus no longer seen to be a necessity for the new manager has managed to elevate the games of players including Aurelien Tchouameni, Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and Federico Valverde.
One of the players most affected by the situation, thus, was Nico Paz who always dreamt of a move back home after a successful season on loan.
The club, however, deemed his signing unnecessary at the time and the player also agreed with the club as relayed by AS.
As reported by the Spanish outlet, Real Madrid had the chance to bring Paz back home for just €8 million but will not do so and the player backs their call.
The Argentine talent does indeed still dream of defending the Real Madrid crest at some point in his career, but several factors make it clear to him that the right time is not now.

For starters, the Argentine star prioritises playing time and is currently enjoying the regular playing time and prominence under Cesc Fabregas at Como.
Los Blancos’ signing of Franco Mastantuono, moreover, further reduces any chance of Paz enjoying minutes at the club should he return.
As one of the brightest young midfield talents coming with a massive price tag, Mastantuono will arrive to be a regular starter for Real Madrid.
Arda Guler’s rise and importance under Alonso, moreover, only intensifies competition in his department.
The former Real Madrid ace, thus, sees his best path forward to be to stay at Como and develop with minutes and keep the flight back to Real Madrid on hold. The club, needless to say, second his decision.
