Former PSG midfielder Marco Verratti on the move again? | OneFootball

Marco Verratti (32) left Paris Saint-Germain after 11 years back in September 2023, joining Qatari side Al-Arabi. However, the Italian’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and according to Foot Mercato, he could be on the move once again.

Whilst Verratti quickly adapted at Al-Arabi and has performed well out in the Middle East, the club has struggled collectively. The Italian has foru goals and four assists from the club this season, however, it could well be his final season at the club with his contract coming to an end.

Al-Duhail, currently top of the Qatari league and managed by former PSG manager Christophe Galtier, have identified Verratti as a priority target for the upcoming transfer window, according to a report from Foot Mercato. Whilst Verratti could arrive at Al-Duhail this summer, Galtier may leave. The Frenchman is heavily linked with a departure with Djamel Belmadi touted as his successor. Galtier has previously been linked with the Qatar national team job.
