The former Milan Primavera striker Jørgen Strand Larsen is closing in on a €30m move to Premier League club Wolves, according to a report. The Rossoneri, therefore might have some regrets about letting him go.

Strand Larsen joined Milan’s Primavera side ahead of the 2017-18 season and he bagged five goals in 30 appearances. It was only a season-long loan, though, and the Rossoneri decided not to redeem the 24-year-old at the end of the season.

The Norwegian striker thus returned to Sarpsborg before joining Dutch side Groningen in 2020. Two years later, he joined Celta Vigo and this past season was very successful for him, bagging 13 goals and three assists for the Spanish side.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Strand Larsen is now just one step away from joining Wolves in a deal worth €30m. Talks are still ongoing on the contract but it’s expected that an agreement will be reached between the parties.

Milan might have some regrets, but it’s not aways easy to determine the true potential of a young player. The Milan Futuro project should certainly help keep hold of some players, especially those that become too old for the Primavera.
