Former Man City & AC Milan star admits ‘my dream is to play for Real Madrid’ | OneFootball

A former member of the attacking ranks at some of Europe’s leading clubs has this week admitted that it remains his career-long dream to line out in the colours of Real Madrid.

The player in question? Mario Balotelli.

Frontman Balotelli is for his part currently in the twilight years of his career.

Set to turn 35 this week, the Italian international most recently spent time on the books of Serie A outfit Genoa this past season.

At the peak of his powers, though, Balotelli managed stints with a number of football’s most recognisable clubs, from Inter Milan to Liverpool, Manchester City and AC Milan.

And yet, speaking to the media this week, the goalscorer revealed that his dream to line out in the colours of arguably the game’s very biggest side never came true.

During an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by Marca, Balotelli explained:

“I want to play for another two or three years. Then, I’ll finish my career alongside my brother Enock. But yes, my dream is to play for (Real) Madrid.”
