Former Celtic favourite Giorgos Giakoumakis could find himself stepping into Olivier Giroud’s shoes at LAFC. The French World Cup winner is expected to return to Ligue 1 with Lille interested in the ex-Arsenal star. This could result in the Greek star swapping Mexico for Los Angeles.

As reported by VamosCruzAzul, Giakoumakis could be free to leave the Mexican side this summer. The Liga MX side are willing to listen to offers for the 30-year-old, given he has found the net just nine times in 40 outings. The report continues that Cruz Azul are reportedly keen to offload him to sign another striker in his place.
