Former Barcelona star spotted training at club’s base | OneFootball

A former member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was this week afforded permission to ramp up his pre-season training at the Blaugrana’s facilities.

The player in question? Sergi Roberto.

Versatile midfielder Roberto of course brought a close to his career-long stint on Barcelona’s books back in the summer of 2024.

After his contract terms were allowed to expire, the 33-year-old went on to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como in Italy.

Following something of an underwhelming debut campaign in Serie A, though, Roberto is understandably eager to take things up a notch in 2024/25.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, efforts towards as much took the Spaniard back to an altogether familiar setting.

As confirmed by Roberto himself, by way of a post on social media, he enjoyed an individual session at Barcelona’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training base earlier today:
