The association between Manchester United and Marcus Rashford is coming to an end.
The Red Devils have decided to let go of their academy graduate, and he is ready to leave the club.
United will be active in the market for his replacement. Here are five players we think they should consider signing as his replacement.
Goncalves played under manager Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP, and the duo have been tipped to reunite at Old Trafford.
He shone mostly as the left-sided number 10 under Amorim, one of the positions Rashford has played. He has bagged 81 goals and 57 assists in 190 appearances.
Besides his impressive goal involvement tally, Goncalves is always heavily involved in attacking sequences, averaging 8.86 shot-creating actions in the Primeira Liga this season.
The Portuguese also works his socks off defensively, making him an asset without possession.
He should be one of United’s priority targets as Rashford’s replacement.
Trincao was one of the standout players under Amorim at Sporting, playing predominantly as the right-sided number 10.
The Portuguese forward is not as prolific as Goncalves, registering 29 goals and 25 assists in 124 games for Sporting.
However, he is a good dribbler and a good passer, making him an asset when facing teams playing with a low block.
The Las Palmas ace has been one of the most underrated players in the Spanish La Liga this season.
Often deployed as a left winger this season, he likes to come to the inside to take on opponents, making him a good fit for Amorim. He is averaging 2.1 dribbles per game, the ninth-best in La Liga this season
He is also productive in the final third, scoring four goals in his La Liga this season.
Moleiro is known for his passing ability, making him a creative outlet. He is averaging 1.2 key passes per game and has created three big chances for Las Palmas.
The West Ham United star needs no introduction. He took the Premier League by storm in his debut season at the London Stadium.
The Ghanaian is arguably the best dribbler in the division, averaging 3.7 dribbles per game this season.
He has played predominantly as a right winger but can play as one of the two number 10s under Amorim. He can operate very well in tight spaces and can pick a pass.
Kudus is also good at taking set pieces, and it is no surprise that he is one of the most expensive forwards in the Premier League. This could hamper United’s chances of signing him.
The Argentine youngster is one of the best youngsters in the Serie A. The AS Roma forward has not had the best start to the season, but his talent is top-notch.
He can anchor play, allowing others to wreak havoc. He can be a goalscoring threat due to his good positioning.
If Amorim needs someone to press well, Soule fits the bill. He is averaging 3.3 recoveries per game in Serie A this season.
Amorim could make him a world-class player at United.
