Laura Blindkilde Brown received her first senior England cap during the Lionesses’ 1-0 friendly win over Switzerland.

Blindkilde Brown impressed throughout before being replaced on 84 minutes - and to celebrate the youngster’s latest milestone, below are five memorable performances she’s put in for City since joining the Club in January 2024.

City 5-0 West Ham – April 2024

Blindkilde Brown came off the bench to open her City account in an emphatic win at the Joie Stadium.

The Blues were in control after Leila Ouahabi’s opener inside 30 seconds, with a Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw brace all but sealing the win before the break.

Introduced with around 30 minutes left at the Joie Stadium, Blindkilde Brown made an instant impact.

Arriving late in the West Ham box, the midfielder met Mary Fowler’s cutback and fired into the roof of the net for her first City goal.

Aston Villa 1-2 City – May 2024

The final game of the 2023/24 campaign was ultimately one of disappointment for City as we missed out on the Barclays Women’s Super League title on goal difference, but Blindkilde Brown’s display provided an exciting nod to the future.

The midfielder was brought on midway through the first half after Laura Coombs picked up an injury and was perhaps the Blues’ standout performer.

Sharp on the ball and with boundless energy, Blindkilde Brown drove City on from the engine room against her former side at Villa Park.

City 0-1 Paris Saint-Germain – September 2024

Blindkilde Brown picked up where she left off in 2023/24, with two impressive performances for City during our pre-season tour of Australia.

The Blues’ penalty shootout win over Leicester set up a tie with Paris Saint-Germain and, despite City falling to defeat due to a late spot kick, were the better side in Perth.

Our midfielder was central to that display, forcing a fine one-on-one save from PSG stopper Katarzyna Kiedrzynek in the first half.

Despite the result, Blindkilde Brown had once again proven she deserved to rub shoulders with the world’s best.

City 3-0 Paris FC – September 2024

Trusted to start by Gareth Taylor in our UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifier, Blindkilde Brown repaid that faith with another assured midfield performance.

City cruised to victory against Paris FC to reach the group stages of Europe’s elite competition, with Shaw’s double building on Chloe Kelly’s early strike for the victory.

And Blindkilde Brown was the creator in chief of the Blues’ second on the night, playing an incisive ball in behind the visiting defence to Kelly, who duly set up Shaw.

It was the highlight of yet another impressive performance from one of City’s brightest young talents.

City 2-0 Hammarby – November 2024

Another important Champions League win for City, Blindkilde Brown’s strike was the spark we needed to grind out all three points.

The visitors, backed by an impressive away following, had frustrated the Blues at the Joie Stadium until our midfielder’s composed effort soon after the restart.

Just like her first goal for the Club, it was Fowler who set up the 21-year-old, with our number 19 opening up her body and coolly slotting into the far corner.

Aoba Fujino added number two with a diving header ten minutes from time to seal the win at the Joie Stadium.
