Fiorentina have identified Cagliari forward Roberto Piccoli as a potential replacement for Moise Kean, should the Italian leave the Viola this summer amidst interest from Manchester United and Milan.
According to what has been reported by SkySport, Fiorentina do not want to be caught out if Kean leaves the club as rumours continue to grow in anticipation of his €52 million release clause – due to become active on July 1.
Therefore, Piccoli has been identified as a possible signing for Pioli’s side if Kean departs this summer.

The 24-year-old forward spent last season on loan with Cagliari from Atalanta, scoring ten goals in Serie A for the Sardinian side. Cagliari are set to activate the €12.5 million option-to-buy in the player’s loan deal – so if the Viola are interested, they will be negotiating with the Rossoblu.
Moise Kean finished the 2024-25 Serie A campaign as the second-top scorer in the division, finishing only behind Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Italian is on the shortlist of several top clubs.

Manchester United have been reportedly interested in Kean’s signature, as the Red Devils look to strengthen their attack. Former Serie A players Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled to lead the line for the Premier League side and rumours suggest they are prepared to gamble on ‘third time lucky’ for their Serie A striker signings.
Milan have also been named as a potential destination for the 25-year-old but the Rossoneri could be dissuaded by the €52 million fee needed to release the player from his Fiorentina contract in the first two weeks of July.
