Fee, sell-on clause & more: The details of Barcelona star Ansu Fati’s Monaco move | OneFootball

An insight into some of the finer details of the ongoing talks between La Liga giants Barcelona and their counterparts at AS Monaco over a deal for Ansu Fati has on Saturday been provided.

The name of attacker Ansu has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines across Europe over the course of the day to date.

This comes after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 22-year-old is closing on a fresh departure from Catalunya’s capital.

In the midst of another hugely underwhelming campaign with Barcelona to date, culminating in just a trio of starts across all competitions, Ansu is expected to pen terms with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco any day now.

And as alluded to above, on Saturday, an insight into some of the details of the move has been provided.

The info comes courtesy of market insider Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that the Spanish international’s Stade Louis II switch, initially, will come in the form of a loan.

The deal will feature an option to buy, worth a sum ‘lower than €20 million’.

To make up for this reduced transfer fee, Barcelona would be entitled to ‘an important sell-on clause’.

Ansu, for his part, has already accepted Monaco as his next destination, with talks ongoing between the two clubs to find a definitive agreement.
