Fan Advisory Board appoint new Disability Representative | OneFootball

Joining the strategic supporter group, Chris Baker will make up the nine-person board who represent the interests of Newcastle United fans and provide consultation to the football club on a number of topics.

Disability Representative, Chris, who works in healthcare analytics, grew up in the North East, before moving abroad to live in Cyprus and the Middle East, returning to the UK in 2001.

Commenting on his role with the Fan Advisory Board, Chris commented: "I'm really pleased to be representing the fanbase as a part of the FAB. I'll be helping to drive meaningful change as we continue to grow as a club in this exciting new era. In particular, I am passionate about eliminating inequalities, ensuring that all voices are heard whilst supporting the delivery of the club's EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) strategy."

Welcoming Chris to the FAB, chairman Michael McCarthy commented: "On behalf of the Fan Advisory Board, I'm delighted to welcome Chris to the group. Chris will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, being able to support the football club and our diverse supporter base, whether it's a focus on EDI or wider topics to help enhance supporter experiences."
