This week, a report surfaced that Galatasaray are ready to trigger the €75 million release clause for Victor Osimhen, the striker linked to both Manchester United and PSG. The deal is expected to be wrapped up within the week, although the exact payment details are still being finalized.

GiveMeSport had previously reported that Manchester United grew increasingly worried about PSG’s pursuit of Osimhen, with the French club considered favorites to meet the £63 million release clause and the striker’s wage demands. However, that move never came to fruition.

Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen wants to stay at Galatasaray. The Turkish club made a strong effort to keep him by offering a €16 million-per-year salary, which he has accepted.

The next hurdle is for Galatasaray to strike a deal with Napoli. The Italian club remains firm on the €75 million release clause and has no plans to lower the price.

On Friday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared that Galatasaray has made a new offer to Napoli for Osimhen after their initial €70 million bid was rejected.

This time, the Turkish club is offering €75 million, with €40 million paid upfront and €35 million in installments, backed again by bank guarantees. The decision is now back in Napoli’s hands.

It will be interesting to see whether this offer suits what Napoli wants or could Galatasaray be forced to abandon their dream of keeping Osimhen past the loan stint from last season.
