Gonçalo Ramos’ future at PSG has been uncertain throughout the summer, sparking plenty of transfer speculation around the Portuguese striker. While there’s still interest from the Premier League, it now looks like he could end up staying in Paris.
Ramos wrapped up the 2024-25 season with 18 goals and six assists in 41 appearances. Still, whether that’s enough to secure a regular starting role at PSG remains to be seen, but the Parisians reportedly want to hold onto the player despite the rumors.
Back in May, CaughtOffside reported growing interest in the 24-year-old, with Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Napoli, and Juventus all keeping an eye on his situation. Arsenal and Manchester United are also looking to strengthen their attack this summer.
Journalist Graeme Bailey previously reported that Manchester United had the green light to move for Ramos, with PSG open to selling. The striker has also reportedly held talks with clubs across Europe and Saudi Arabia.

Recently, Craig Hope of the Daily Mail reported that Ramos is among the alternatives Newcastle United consider in their search for a striker. Benjamin Sesko remains their top choice, and a decision on his future could come soon.
On Monday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano weighed in on Ramos being Plan B for Newcastle United if the pursuit of Benjamin Sesko doesn’t go their way.
“As of now, Sesko has not decided yet,” Romano wrote in GIVE ME SPORT’s newsletter. “Newcastle are waiting. Ramos is appreciated but PSG want to keep him, it’d take a huge proposal to try change things.”
Amid the rumors linking him away from PSG, journalist Sacha Tavolieri recently reported that AC Milan made a serious move to sign Ramos, but PSG’s asking price is too steep. The French club are set on keeping the striker this summer despite the interest from other sides.
This new information from Tavolieri comes after he reported that AC Milan were seriously considering Ramos as a top target. Milan officials had already in talks with the Portuguese striker’s representatives to explore a potential deal. Nonetheless, that doesn’t seem like it will happen.
