A couple of weeks ago, Eberechi Eze may have been shaking his head at his goal return this season, but he is likely feeling much better after five strikes in his last four games.

The Crystal Palace midfielder was performing worse than any player in the Premier League in comparison to his expected goals a matter of weeks ago, but he has found his shooting boots to help the Eagles string together a five-game unbeaten run.

Eze notched twice as Oliver Glasner's side won 2-0 away at Tottenham on Sunday to move within a draw of 50 Premier League points this term and, in the process, the Three Lions international equalled his most productive top flight season.

With 13 goals and 11 assists to his name across all competitions in 2024/25, Eze now has 15 Premier League goal involvements (eight goals and seven assists) this term to match his previous best in the top tier - which he set last season when he scored 11 goals and laid on four more.

Ranked fifth in the top flight for successful dribbles (with 64) and joint-14th in the division for key passes (55), Eze has established himself as one of the most exciting and creative forward-thinking midfielders in England - and he has a chance to write his name into domestic folklore this coming weekend.

Palace take on Manchester City this Saturday in the FA Cup final and, after netting a spectacular strike in the Eagles' impressive 3-0 semi-final win over Aston Villa, Eze is slap bang in form ahead of his side's big day out at Wembley.  Linked with a possible move to the Etihad last summer, Eze will have the perfect opportunity to show Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola exactly what he has to offer - in arguably the biggest game of the 26-year-old's career to date.
