Rodrygo Goes’ departure from Real Madrid has been widely spoken about in Spanish media, and understandably so given the dynamic Xabi Alonso fancies at the club.

The Brazilian star has been linked with a host of clubs primarily from the Premier League with Liverpool, Arsenal and even Tottenham Hotspur having their names linked with the winger.

At no point, however, has Rodrygo insisted that he wishes to leave the club of his dreams openly and part of the reason is that he still dreams of winning a place at the Spanish capital.

Now, Fabrizio Romano via DAZN provides an update on the same

No wish to leave

As relayed by the Italian journalist, Rodrygo does not believe that his time to leave Real Madrid has come. He still sees that he has much to give and is thus not desperate to leave the club.

The player is in love with the club and is willing to put everything at stake to fight for a place under the new manager. A departure, thus, is not his preferred option at the moment.

The report reiterates that a move away from the club for the youngster is not ruled out and that Rodrygo can consider leaving Real Madrid if a top team arrives and offers an important contract to be the star of the side.

As it stands, however, that is not the case and the player thus focuses completely on succeeding at Real Madrid and proving his worth to the manager.

Over the years, the Brazilian has remained a clutch player for Los Blancos across competitions, especially in the UEFA Champions League where he has been at the heart of several comebacks.

Last season, however, was a poor one by his standards and saw him drop out of even Carlo Ancelotti’s plans despite the manager trusting in him.

Now, with Alonso looking to deploy a two-man forward system and both Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe ahead of him, Rodrygo must do something extraordinary to earn back his place.
