Since arriving from Valencia in the summer of 2022, Carlos Soler has struggled for any sort of prominence at Paris Saint-Germain. Despite the arrival of compatriot Luis Enrique at the start of this season, that hasn’t changed.
Because of this, it’s highly likely that Soler will be moving on during the upcoming transfer window. Fabrizio Romano has told The Daily Briefing that a return to La Liga is possible, while there is also interest being shown from Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
“I expect Soler to leave this summer, it’s over for him at Paris Saint-Germain. Aston Villa are interested yes, it’s true; but there also clubs in Spain so the situation is really open there. He could be one to watch, for sure.”
It will be very interesting to see how Soler’s situation plays out over the coming weeks and months. There’s no doubt that La Liga clubs would be very keen, but if Aston Villa are in the race, it would be very difficult to win that battle.
