Over the past few weeks, the Esports World Cup has been in full flow, seeing teams crowned champions of their respective scenes.
But now, FC25’s pro players are ready to compete.
And to begin with, 512 players will be competing in the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ), with Neat and City’s newest signing Guga ready for action.
Following their ePremier League success earlier this year, Tekkz and Matias Bonanno qualified directly for the FC Pro World Championships.
Ahead of the LCQ, here is everything you need to know about Neat and Guga’s route to the Play-Ins…
All 512 players will be split into 32 groups of 16 competitors.
Each group will play in a double-elimination bracket until four pros remain (two from the winners bracket and two from the losers bracket) and only 128 are left standing.
Then the remaining 128 competitors will be divided into eight groups of 16.
Within each group, eight players will be in the winners bracket, and eight in the losers bracket. The bracket they are in will be the same as stage one, and will continue this way throughout LCQ.
Similar to before, they will play a double-elimination bracket until four competitors are left: two from the winners bracket and two from the losers bracket.
Down to the final 32 players fighting for a place in the Play-Ins.
Split into two groups of 16, the double-elimination continues until two pros from the winners bracket and two from the losers bracket remain.
The final stage. All in one bracket, competitors will go toe-to-toe in their respective bracket, with five spots for the Play-Ins up for grabs.
Two from the winners bracket and two from the losers bracket will advance with the last two competitors to play one final match for the last spot in the Play-Ins.
Streams of the matches will be available on the Esports World Cup Youtube channel.
Live from Boulevard City, Riyadh, Stage One will take place across Thursday 31 July and Friday 1 August.
Games will begin from 12:00 (UK) and run all the way throughout the day.
Stage Two onwards will begin on Saturday 2 August, with the time to be confirmed.
Updates on Neat and Guga will be available on our Man City Esports channels: @ManCityEsports.
