Everton submit Thierno Barry bid | OneFootball

Everton have submitted an offer for Villarreal forward Thierno Barry (22), according to a report from Le Parisien journalist Marc Mechenoua.

Barry enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Villarreal. A product of the renowned Sochaux academy, the centre-forward netted 19 goals in 41 appearances for the La Liga side last season. 11 of those goals came in La Liga as a fifth-place league finish secured the club’s return to the UEFA Champions League.

However, Barry, currently with the France U21 side for the U21 European Championships, may play no part in that European campaign. As reported by Le Parisien, Everton have submitted a first bid for the striker. That bid is worth over €30m. However, for now, there is not yet an agreement between the two clubs.

The France youth international is, however, David Moyes’ priority target as he looks to strengthen Everton’s attack ahead of next season’s Premier League campaign.
