Everton have agreed to a loan deal with Brazilian outfit Flamengo for former Southampton star Carlos Alcaraz, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Merseyside outfit are keen to bring in reinforcements for their new manager David Moyes in the ongoing window.
Moyes wants to bring in a centre midfielder to add some quality and depth in the Toffees midfield department.
Former Southampton star Alcaraz has been turned to by the Toffees and they have been working on a deal.
The 22-year-old’s loan deal will have an option to buy clause, which will become mandatory upon fulfilling certain conditions.
Alcaraz left Southampton in the summer of 2024 to join Flamengo and signed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2029.
If all goes well, the 22-year-old midfielder will travel to England to complete his transfer before the transfer deadline.
