England U21s were held in their second EURO U21 game after a goalless draw with Slovenia.
There were plenty of chances between the two sides with Slovenia starting the brighter and forcing James Beadle into some solid stops.
Lee Carsley's side grew into the game though with Ethan Nwaneri and James McAtee having good chances.
It was Harvey Elliott who came closest though with a volleyed effort that may well have been a cross in front of the face of goal but if it had gone in the Liverpool man would surely claim it was deliberate.
Slovenia goalkeeper was the hero in the second half Martin Turk and he earned his side a point in stoppage time with a superb save. Substitutes Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Jack Hinshelwood combined with the Genoa man's cross finding the head of Hinshelwood but Turk was able to just tip it over the bar.
That result means England top Group B with four points ahead of Germany who are yet to play their second game. A point should do it for England when they face the Germans next.
