West Ham forward Princess Ademiluyi and Birmingham City’s Ava Baker – who topped the scoring for the young Lionesses during qualifying with four goals each – are among those to make the squad.

The best represented WSL team in the squad is Arsenal who have six players in the U19 squad, followed by Chelsea with four.

Manchester City, Leicester, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Bristol City, West Ham, Birmingham City and Tottenham all have one player in the squad.

Also making the squad are goalkeeper Kaiya Jota who plays at Stanford University in the United States, Erica Parkinson of Portuguese side Valadres Gaia, and Lauryn Thompson who plays for Indy Eleven in the USA. Jota has been listed in the squad as a training player.

Former Bristol City boss Lauren Smith will lead the team, as they look to build on their semi-finals appearance in the same tournament last year.

One player who is not in the squad is Michelle Agyemang, who scored two goals during qualifiers for the tournament which begins this month.

Agyemang was instead selected for the senior England squad for the upcoming Women’s Euro 2025 tournament.

The young Lionesses qualified for the tournament after topping a group that included Austria, Belgium, and Ukraine.

England recorded a staggering 21 goals in three games, including 10 against Ukraine, six vs Belgium and five past Austria.
