Emanuel Emegha (22) could leave RC Strasbourg Alsace this summer amid significant interest from the Premier League, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Strasbourg remain right in the race for UEFA Champions League football, however, that doesn’t mean that they don’t risk losing some of the key performers that currently have the club exceding expectations in sixth. With 13 goals in Ligue 1 this season, Emegha has played a starring role.
The Dutch forward is a target for Newcastle United, L’Équipe understands. The Tyneside club are preparing for Alexander Isak’s potential departure and have identified Emegha, who is open to the move, as a replacement. Chelsea, who share the same BlueCo owners as Les Alsaciens, are also interested and have recently provided the centre-forward with a career plan.
Dilane Bakwa (22) could also leave RCSA and his departure has been anticipated by the arrivals of Valentín Barco and Samuel Amo-Ameyaw in January. Both were bought on loan deals with obligation clauses.
Bakwa is courted by Eintracht Frankfurt, who could offer Strasbourg €30m without bonuses. Some unnamed “big” Italian clubs could also compete for the winger’s signature, according to L’Équipe.
